Whale Watching Tours.
We offer full tourist information and tour booking facilities,
free of charge. We do this for a living, so we know what we're
talking about. - We book all tours operating in the area including
Fraser Island and Whale Watch. Courtesy pick ups by tour companies
are arranged for you and in the event of the tour company canceling
due to weather - we can inform you, book a different trip so
your day is not wasted or refund. We have maps of the area,
free of charge, and individual tour brochures on all the trips
listed below.

During August to October, a tour out to see the mighty Humpback
Whales of Hervey Bay is a "must-see ". Seeing a 45
tone animal launching itself effortlessly out of the water is
a truly amazing sight.
There are tours to cater for all tastes. We can advise which
tour will suit you best.

Dawn Whale Watching.
You got to get up early for this one. Picking at the Happy Wanderer
Village at 6.00am! But that’s not going to bother you
photo enthusiasts, as the best pics of the Whales are often
in the early morning light. Blue Horizon.
This is a new 12metre catamaran good walk around viewing decks
very well appointed. Fresh fruit, hot pastries and a great
selection of beverages are served for breakfast. $100/$50.
Blue Horizon also has limited seats each morning in there
spotter plane leaving very early (dawn) you WILL be the first
to see the whales. $195/$145.

3 Hour Fast Tours.
This is a very fast boat! It’s an adrenalin
packed boat trip and Whale watching in one.
4 X 300HP engines propel you across into Platypus bay where
you have ample time to view the numerous whale pods: you don’t
mind the wind in your hair, like an adventure, it’s
for you. Built new 2007, 11Metres, max 34 people, 3 Trips

1/2 Day Tours:
All half day tours are with catamarans and include
courtesy pick up from Happy Wanderer, morning/afternoon ins
served on board.
This is a beautifully appointed vessel. 19.5 metres in length
and a very stable 7.2 metres wide and cruises at an impressive
26Knts. Includes morning and afternoon tea.
A complimentary Whales DVD as a souvenir of your trip. Excellent
all round viewing decks and 2 underwater viewing rooms and
the only water level viewing platform...
(You can’t get closer that that!) Also equipped with
hydrophone. $100/$60.
Quick Cat
Is 16 metres in length a good stable vessel. . Includes morning
and afternoon tea.
Good all round access for the disabled. Complimentary Children’s
Activity/Project booklet. Tourism award winners 2001/2002.
Underwater Viewing Camera. $100/$60.
Whale Song
Is 15 metres in length. Good access for physically disabled
patrons. Includes a light breakfast on the morning cruse and
a buffet style lunch on the afternoon cruse. Good all round
viewing decks. $105/$60.
Bay’s largest of the half day boat (20 metres) in the
fleet. Has underwater viewing windows set into the hull of
the boat so you can watch the whales underwater.

Full Day Tours:
These will all pickup at the Happy Wanderer Village typically
round 8am and return about 4.30pm.
Blue Dolphin
Is a 10.5 metre sailing cat leaving Urangan boat harbor at
7.30am and returning aprox 4pm. This is a very gentle, stable
vessel with ample room with covered viewing area. Limited
to 22 passengers. Morning, afternoon tea and lunch all served
on board. $110/$80.
Shayla
Is a 10 metre sailing cat Leaving Urangan boat Harbour at
7.30am and returning aprox 4pm. This is a very gentle, stable
vessel with ample room with covered viewing area. Max of 30
people. Morning, afternoon tea and lunch all served on board.

DescaradA
22Metre motor yacht has 3 levels good viewing. Morning tea,
Lunch and afternoon tea served on board. Max of 30 passengers
guarantees no crowding $125/$85.

3/4 Day Tours:
3/4 Day Whale Watch tours have the great advantage of allowing
you time for a sleep in (let's remember you're here on holiday)
and a return in time to get ready to go out for dinner in
the evening. They are fast boats, which can get you out to
the viewing area quickly and comfortably. All pickup at the
Happy Wanderer Village.
Kasey Lee
This is a 18 metre cat. Stable vessel •Hydrophone to
listen to the whales song. Free Individual tropical lunch
hampers. Complimentary morning tea. Children’s Games
& Activities & educational Video’s. $105/$65.
M.V. Mikat
A 20 metre very stable cat. Departing at 9am and returning
about 3pm. Good all round viewing decks. Lunch is a cold buffet
of fresh salads, cold meats and fresh bread rolls. $103/$60.
Blue Horizon
This is a new 12metre catamaran good walk around viewing decks
very well appointed.
A great relaxed uncrowded way to spend the day. $100/$50.
