There's any number of ways to get to Fraser Island without taking your own vehicle. We can also arrange accommodation on the Island. All tours have a courtesy pick up for guests from the Happy Wanderer.

2 Day Tour. Departs Daily
As for the one day tour but with more time, Also including Lake Wabby and the well known 'blue lake', Lake McKenzie and Pile valley. Overnight accommodation at Eurong Beach Resort on the ocean side of the Island. All meals included. Adult from $253, Child $170 to Adult $305 Child $220 depending on your choice of accommodation: quad share, Twin share, 2-brm apartment, motel room, N.B. prices do not include National park tax of $16pp payable direct on arrival. Optional joy flight available.

Day Tour.
This tour goes to the Yidney rainforest, Eli Creek, the Maheno shipwreck, the coloured sands and Lake Garawongera. Lunch at Fraser Island Retreat at Happy Valley. $149/$89.

Exclusive Day Tour.
The Exclusive tour is just that. It operates with very low numbers so it's a great tour as far as personalised service goes and if you want to avoid being part of the crowd.

Two Day Tour.
Wilderness Safari. Departs Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays Takes you through to Yidney rainforest, Eli Creek, the wreck of the Maheno, the coloured sands, Indian Head, Lake Wabby, Central Station rainforest and Lake Birrabeen. Accommodation over night at Cathedral Beach. All meals included. $269/$269.

Northern Adventure. Departs Mondays, Wednesdays, Friday & Sunday. Takes you to the Yidney rainforest, Lake Allom, Eli Creek, the Maheno shipwreck, the coloured sands, Indian Head, Rainbow Gorge and Lake Wabby. Overnight accommodation at Cathedral Beach. All meals included. $269/$269.

Three Day Tour.
Day Camping Adventure. Departs Tuesdays & Fridays. Takes you to the Yidney rainforest, Lake Allom, Lake Garawongera, Eli Creek, the Maheno shipwreck, Knife blade sand blow, the coloured sands, Indian Head, Champagne pools, Orchard beach, Rainbow Gorge and Lake Wabby and Watumba creek. Overnight camping at Cathedral Beach.
All meals, beer and wine included. $455/$355.

LAKE MCKENZIE TOUR. Departs Daily.
This one you will have to get up early for. Departs at 6.10am you catch the fastcat to Kingfisher Bay. A nature round the lakes surrounding the resort, morning tea at the village bakery before boarding the tour bus taking you to Central Station, Pile Valley then across to Eurong and up the beach to Eli creek, Maheno ship wreck and the coloured sands. Back to Eurong Beach resort for lunch, After lunch, off the Lake McKenzie for a relax and swim then return to Kingfisher Bay. Back on the Mainland by 6.30pm. $179/$115.

Dine and stay packages. Departs daily.
Pick up at 7.25am transfer to King Fisher Bay Resort by fast cat where you can enjoy all the resort facilities and take time out. Package includes Buffet dinner in the Maheno restaurant, Hotel Accommodation and buffet breakfast by the pool. Transfer back to the Happy Wanderer Village arriving approx 5PM. 1 night 2days, $199/$199. 2night 3 days. $364/$364.

Day Away. Departs Daily.
Includes: Return catamaran cruise lunch and morning or afternoon tea, ranger guided walk. Departs Urangan Boat Harbour 8.45am and 12 noon. Departs resort 2.00pm and 5.00pm. $60/$30. Family rate (2 adults + 2 children) $150.

Twilight Cruises. Departs Daily.
Leaves Urangan boat Harbour 7pm and return 11.30pm. A Themed buffet dinner of 3 courses at Maheno restaurant $85/$35.

Moonlight Cruise. Departs Daily.
Leaves Urangan boat Harbour 4pm and return 8.30pm. A Themed buffet dinner of 3 courses at Maheno restaurant $85/$35.

COOLDINGO

2 DAY Departs Daily
Picks up at 7.45am, you catch the fastcat to Kingfisher bay from there you cover all of the attractions of the 1 day tour at a more leisurely pace including Indian Head and lake Mackenzie. All meals and accommodation included in timber lodges $289 quad share, $339 twin share N.B National park tax $16pp payable direct on arrival.

3 Day Tour Departs Daily
The same as the 2 day tour, and on the 3rd day you will trek into lake Wabby (about 2Klm), visit Hammerstone sand blow and Enjoy a BBQ buffet lunch at Eurong beach resort. After lunch visit lake Birrabeen for a swim on your return to Kingfisher bay.
All meals and accommodation included in timber lodges $359 quad share, $409 twin share N.B. National park tax $24pp payable direct on arrival. Return to mainland 6.30pm.

4WD HIRE
There are no roads on the Island, only sand tracks or the beach. So conventional vehicles cannot travel there. You can either take your own 4WD or hire one. Several hire companies operate locally and provide 4WD's at reasonable rates. Suzukis, Toyotas, and the old Land rover Troop carriers are very popular. Barges operate to the Island daily from River Heads to Wangoolba Creek and Kingfisher Bay and from the Marina to Moon Point.

Prices vary greatly for car hire depending on the size, duration of hire and season availability say $105 to $250 per day
You'll need a $35.40 permit per vehicle to drive on the Island. Valid for 1 month.

A return barge ticket $140/car, covers 4 people additional passengers $10.

Motor cycle $50 includes rider only.

Camping permit $4.50/person/day.
